Last Wednesday, Rebuild hosted 30 Realtors from the Gainesville-Alachua County Association of Realtors (GACAR). They painted 3 homes and also did repairs on the roof and plumbing of a 4th home. It was one of the hottest summer days we have had- but work went smoothly and the volunteers were visited by local celebrity, Chris Doerring. TV20 covered the day of service on the 6:00 news and everyone had a blast! Special thanks to GACAR for all of their hard work in making this event happen, to Millennium Bank for donation of supplies, Mercantile Bank for Lunch Donations, GW Robinson for shirt donations, and Coca-Cola Bottling Company for refreshments.
The morning started at 7:30 am as volunteers got directions for the day and learned about Rebuild’s “3- S’s”!
